Solfi Michael Goss is his full name and when Alexander Wang, then creative director of Balenciaga, chose him for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 look book, it was a sign that the Londoner would become big. The latter is now an understatement as he’s since been affiliated with powerhouses such as Burberry (he was shot in their Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, by Mario Testino), Alexander McQueen, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, and Michael Kors to name a few. There isn’t a major brand we can think of that hasn’t at some point courted the male model.
His popularity and demand is well deserved as he has an uncanny ability to stride with ease on any catwalk. In his early days in the industry he was the first black model to open Louis Vuitton in decades and since then he has walked countless shows. It is in editorials that the nappy-haired stud’s raw beauty is best revealed. Sol is currently the face of H&M Arket’s Fall/Winter 2017 campaign and counting already four magazine covers, he is what some would call a natural.
