Beyonce’s Homecoming: “Beychella” highlights Black Excellence

Beyonce’s Homecoming hits a high and stays high!!!

Beyonce Knowles Carter created history when she released Homecoming, the documentary, of her legendary Coachella 2018 performance. After the film’s debut, she also released a live album carrying the same title, Homecoming.  Written, directed and produced by Queen Bey herself, Homecoming has had rave reviews and is certainly in the running for one of the best concert films of the 21st century.

With each person involved hand-picked by Beyonce, the docu contains footage of the icon working endless hours alongside her dancers, back-up singers and crew who would later be part of the history-making production. Having just given birth to her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, at the time, Homecoming gives a glimpse into the icon’s personal sacrifice to achieve the production. Jaw dropping choreography, harmonious vocals and costumes inspired by Historically Black Colleges and Universities which were designed in collaboration with Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director and her stylist, Marni, Homecoming proved to be a celebration of Black Excellence.

To date, Homecoming has been streamed on Netflix over a 1,000,000 times.
