Coach delivered a spectacle of patterns, colours and tailoring for its SS16 men’s fashion show. In fashion, rocking prints can be one of the most difficult looks to pull off. There’s so much to consider: proportions, the season, the colour palette, textures, etc. The daunting tasks seemed to be nothing more than a cakewalk to Coach. Each look that cruised down the runway featured print, in various forms – from bright, luminous patterns of pinks, yellows, neon greens and blues, to more earthy tones of tans and burgundies.
Since 1941 Coach has been a major staple in the fashion arena, known for its exquisite construction techniques and luxury leather goods. However, menswear is a new avenue for the brand being that this is only the second men’s collection they’ve produced (the first being Fall/Winter 2015). Though Coach may be the proverbial “new kid on the block”, British-born Creative Director, Stuart Vevers, and his team of designers are certainly proving themselves to be menswear experts through this spectacular showcase of artistry, perspective, and execution.
