So everybody (or at least most in and) concerned with Jaden Smith, fashion, Louis Vuitton (LV) and/or the brand’s artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière has seen or heard that Will Smith’s male seed is the new face of LV’s latest Spring/Summer 2016 campaign.
Earlier today, Ghesquière revealed via his Instagram that Jaden will be the face of the label’s women’s campaign. Yes, women’s, and to top it off, the accompanying images showed Jaden clad in an SS’15 skirt (see below).
While this may provide some discomfort for some (not us), it’s not the first ‘genderless’ happening for Jaden who has been known to be fashion forward and has sported dresses and other women’s clothing fairly frequently.
Gender blending certainly is on the rise in fashion with many popular designers dressing women in men’s clothing and few dressing men in womenswear. While we haven’t seen this in the mainstream we do think it will soon pop up. Our question though is pretty simple… are you willing to sport a skirt (and not a kilt)?
